Tiramisu is an Italian dessert created from layers of sponge cake or Genoese pastry drunk with whiskey and coffee, and layers of mascarpone cream and eggs.

Mascarpone is a creamy, consistent cheese, of a very light yellowish-white color, with a sweet flavor.
